Bob Main Retirement – Peebles
We will be taking over Bob's clinic from the 29th of December. HIs phone number will be operational but there may be some disruption between now and about the first week in January.
We will be phoning all patients in early January to confirm details and get you logged onto our booking system. Bob has been recording in a manual diary and we need to get you set up into our systems.
When you come for your first appointment if we miss you on the phone please come 15 minutes early as we will need to get you to fill in a registration document for our Podiatrists to be able to treat you.
Peebles Clinics and Locations
We will make a decision about which Clinic to work from longer term once we start to meet Bob's patients and introduce ourselves.
Wednesday Clinics and Home Visits
From the start of January all home visits will be on Wednesdays.
Staffing Changes – Penicuik
We have a new admin member of staff starting in Penicuik. Sophie will be new and will be learning our systems.
Phone Booking and Appointment Changes (Coming Soon)
Due to increased demand, we will shortly add a third phone-line option specifically for patients wishing to make or change appointments. Once this service is live, please note that if you initially book an appointment in-clinic at the discounted rate (£45 Penicuik, £50 Peebles) but subsequently change the appointment via phone, the standard rate (£60 Penicuik, £65 Peebles) will apply.
This additional cost covers the administrative expense of providing staffed phone support. Discounted rates will continue to apply when appointments are booked or rearranged directly in the clinic during your visit, or rearranged using the online booking system.
This option on the phone line should go live early January.
Bob's current number will go straight to our existing phone system. We will update that number on the website early January.
Updated 19th of December 2025.
Toenails not cut for three years.

DO NOT USE CORN PLASTERS!!!
This video highlights the potential dangers associated with medicated corn removers.
Recently, we treated a patient who experienced severe skin damage after using a corn plaster purchased from a local pharmacy. The salicylic acid in the plaster caused a burn that extended almost to the bone. We immediately referred her to her GP for urgent care.
We've initiated discussions with the retail pharmacy to raise awareness about the risks of selling these products without proper podiatric guidance. It's crucial to understand that while corn plasters are readily available, their misuse can lead to serious complications.
We highly recommend watching the video above before attempting any self-treatment. Being informed about the risks can prevent potential harm.
Always consult with a qualified podiatrist before using such treatments to ensure your safety and well-being.
